Dr. Henthorn grew up in Rockford, Illinois and received her undergraduate degree at Iowa State University. She also graduated from Iowa State school of Veterinary Medicine in 2023. After graduating, she spent time working as an Emergency Medicine veterinarian before transitioning over to primary care. 

Her free time is spent taking care of her 6 animals; 2 dogs, 3 cats, and 1 rabbit. Otherwise, you can find her in the gym, reading, or spending time with her husband.
